Joel Bennett is the founder of WinterVine Publishing who created the idea for our first online publication Spotlight WV Magazine”  in 2009, then in 2012 Spotlight WV became a print magazine and since then has been growing it’s distribution across the State each quarter it’s released. Joel has a background in media production and advertising, and is also the founder of the marketing firm Aronfield Agency  that’s been in business since 2010.

WinterVine Publishing is based in Charleston, West Virginia.

10/12/14 – WinterVine launches the first issue of Taste! WV Magazine. You can view the first issue of this quarterly West Virginia culinary arts magazine online for free and you can subscribe to receive the issues to your home by visiting TasteWV.com. Follow Taste! 12/24/14 – As of the 2014 Winter issue of Spotlight WV Magazine, we have changed the format. The quarterly magazine will now feature a different art medium or profile for the cover instead of the original “Featured Photographer” format. Spotlight WV Magazine will still keep the featured photographer segment, but will be publishing one scenic WV cover photo per year. This is to expand more into the arts and culture by featuring other wonderful art mediums.

1/11/15 – Spotlight WV Magazine was mentioned in both Parkersburg News and Sentinel and the Charleston Gazette for helping a local writer promote her new book.

2/1/15 – Taste! WV Magazine changed from a quarterly to a semi-annual magazine.

4/1/15 – Spotlight WV Magazine added several new locations to pick up their magazine including Taylor Books in downtown Charleston, WV.

10/15/15 – Spotlight WV Magazine introduced a new website to push video segments and share other creative videos to share from WV. (Spotlight WV DotTV)
